Jude 1:4-5

(Jude 1:4-5)

For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.  I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not.

The Bible prophetically proclaims the miserable end of false teachers, explaining the warnings of the Gnostic heresy, or false teachers, as three judgments from the Old Testament God. The first is the judgment on those who do not believe in God among the exodus. I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not. The false teacher who was deceived by Gnosticism was those who denied God's promises, "Exodus and in front of the land of Canaan, we die when we enter Canaan." Those who reject the promises of God are like those who rejected the atoning death of Jesus Christ. These are the ones who have no choice but to be judged by God.

The Old Testament is the shadow of the New Testament. When they leave Egypt, they paint the lamb's blood and eat the lamb's meat. The content of painting the blood of the lamb is only two verses, but the meat of the lamb is ten verses. The people should not eat sheep raw or boiled in water. It should be baked and eaten, and the rest should be burned off. The slain lamb is not left in this world. So invisible. Eating the meat of the Lamb means the death of Jesus Christ.

So, when the sheep die, the people paint the blood of the lamb on the gate. Only the blood of Jesus cannot work. Many churches today say that only the blood of Jesus is forgiven of sin. This is not perfect. In order for the blood of Jesus to be applied, we must eat the meat of the dead lamb (Jesus). In other words, our old man must die with Jesus. Only those who admit that we have died in transgression and sin are united with Jesus' death. That is why the blood of Jesus works for us. Then the wrath of God passes.

This is when the people enter Canaan from the wilderness. Canaan is a type of Christ. Egypt typifies the world. Salvation does not consist of leaving Egypt, but the process of leaving Egypt and entering Canaan. In Ezekiel 20:38 And I will purge out from among you the rebels, and them that transgress against me: I will bring them forth out of the country where they sojourn, and they shall not enter into the land of Israel: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

It is only an opportunity for salvation when the people come out of the land (Egypt) where they lived. Those who rebel and sin do not enter the land of Israel (Canaan). In the New Testament, it is quoted in Hebrews 3:16-19. For some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.  But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcases fell in the wilderness?  And to whom sware he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?  So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.

In Hebrews 4:1 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. In the wilderness, God never spoke of the assurance of salvation. He said, "Be saved by fear and trembling."The word conviction was spoken when entering Canaan.

God said, "Be strong and bold. I will be with you." What comes out of Egypt, as Galatians says, "I am also crucified from the world." The Pharaoh tried to send an army to kill him. Then, the Exodus takes place. This is the analogy of the four fields. Roadside fields (it is useless to hear the word because of the devil), boulder fields (there is difficulty, and falls because of the tribulation), thorny fields (the buds do not grow due to the concerns of the world and the temptations of the twilight)

Man-made gods are concerned with money. Moses gets a tablet from God fifty days (Pentecost) after leaving Egypt. On the day when Moses came down from the stone tablet, the people were anxious to eat tasty rice in the morning. What shall we eat? So, the god they made was the golden calf of Egypt (Manmon). The last god in Revelation is Manmon (666). If you don't receive your right hand, forehead, or ticket, you won't be able to sell. Jesus says, "You cannot serve God and wealth." John the Baptist said, "Every tree that does not bear beautiful fruit is cut and thrown into the fire." The fruit is the fruit of works. Salvation is saved by faith. But repentance is doing. That is, it is not repentance to speak only. It is to produce fruit worthy of repentance. Faith is as good as mustard seeds. Because the Lord gives.

Repentance is not given by the Lord, but we must do it. Faith fills, but repentance is emptied and discarded. Today, repentance in many churches is only repentance in fruitless words. Noah shouted for 120 years, "Repent" was the intention. What a sinner needs is a word of righteousness, not a word of love. It means that all the righteousness is under the wrath of God. So it means to repent. In Romans 1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. It's not about love. The word love appears twice in 1 John.

Salvation occurs when you repent. Repentance occurs not in Egypt, but in the wilderness. God gives the opportunity to repent in the wilderness. God overcame sin in Egypt. This is the passover. The sins of the Hebrew people in Egypt were not recorded. Because Egypt is a servant of the world, it goes without saying. The Lord has delivered us from the world (roadside fields, stone fields, thorny fields), but in the wilderness made golden calves.

In Hebrews 4:2
For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. The word must be one with faith. The people paint the blood of the Lamb and come out of the wilderness, which is not faith. In the wilderness, it is only when we are united with the Lord that we are connected with faith. Those whom God swore in Hebrews 3:16 are those who are not connected with faith. Exodus represents the completion of the tabernacle and movement along the cloud and pillar of fire. The owner's life is a life in which the owner changes whether he lives along the pillar of cloud, the pillar of fire, or the way he lives.

In Numbers, it appears that the people came out of Egypt to celebrate the Passover in one year and enter the Promised Land. First, the Hebrews ask the spies to enter Canaan. Then the Lord allows. Twelve spies entered Canaan by selecting the chieftain. But in Numbers 13:31, But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we. In Numbers 13:31And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.

The land of Canaan is Christ. The saints must be saved in Christ before they are saved. In 14:11, the Lord said And the LORD said unto Moses, How long will this people provoke me? and how long will it be ere they believe me, for all the signs which I have shewed among them?

They ate the manna every day, and the tabernacle was erected, leading the pillars of cloud and fire. In 14:30, Doubtless ye shall not come into the land, concerning which I sware to make you dwell therein, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun. This is quoted from Hebrews. Until 1 Corinthians 10:1-4, the Hebrews crossed the Red Sea, under a pillar of cloud and fire, but in verse 5, But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.

The baptism mentioned here is water baptism across the Red Sea. Water baptism is different from baptism (crossing the Jordan River) where the old man dies and becomes a new man, as mentioned in Romans 6. Paul is speaking to "the members of the Corinthian church who were baptized in water across the Red Sea." 10:4 says that the rock (Christ) followed them. Nevertheless, they are saying that they were destroyed in the wilderness.

The faith that comes out of Egypt may not be saved, but only the faith that enters Canaan becomes the saved faith. The faith that enters Canaan is the faith that is born again with water and the Holy Spirit. Those who are saved by faith are the faith that enters Canaan. The old man must die and be reborn as a new man. Faith without repentance can be said to be fake. So repentance is self-denial.
